This is not the end

So many times I’ve found myself in a place of life where a dream has been crushed, a hope feels lost, and a plan became unraveled.  In the mist of the chaos and furry, I’ve found myself feeling dejected and joyless.  Crying out “Why not God?”  In those dark moments, I found I had placed my earthly desires in front of my Heavenly Father and an idol had taken the place of my creator.  I can tell you though that when our plans fall through and we think ‘it is the end’, it is really just the beginning of something new.  This is not the end!

Listen to the following song below, reflect on what new thing God is doing in you and pray for the following!

  1. Whatever idol you have found yourself pursuing, that it would be broken.  That from the ashes God would bring forth his goodness and joy.  “Do not be sad and dejected for the joy of the Lord is your strength.” (Nehemiah 8:10)
  2. May you be overcome with hope that after what seems like the end of the road you see a path revealed that is narrow and bright. “See, I am doing a new thing! Now it springs up; do you not perceive it? I am making a way in the wilderness and streams in the wasteland.”  (Isaiah 43:19.)
  3. Pray that you would walk forward with resounding faith!  “Whether you turn to the right or to the left, your ears will hear a voice behind you, saying, ‘This is the way; walk in it.'” (Isaiah 30:21)
  4. Pray that you will be lifted up by his mighty hand!  My friends pray for yourself and prayer for your spouse/husbands to be that God would be the idol of your life!  That you will always see the new beginning regardless of the road you’re on and what you planned!
